Kenmac

Our History

Kenmac Energy was formed in 1986 by Dan MacIsaac and Petro Canada to distribute Petro Canada petroleum products in Prince Edward Island. Kenmac Energy has grown through the years by purchasing Souris Petroleum in 1998, 49% of Noonan Petroleum in Summerside in 2002 and C&C Fuels in 2006.

In 2006 Kenmac Energy expanded into the propane business. We built a bulk plant for propane in the Cornwall Industrial Park. The plant has three 130,000-litre propane storage tanks, with a large inventory of every size of domestic and commercial propane tanks available to meet customer needs.

We are the only propane company on PEI with a local Charlottetown office. Kenmac Energy has a customer-focused staff of 40. We have won six Atlantic awards and 1 national award in our 30 years. These awards are won by companies who grow and care for their business while protecting the environment and providing competitive professional service. Kenmac Energy has been involved in the PEI community through support of the QEH Foundation, sponsoring the Kenmac Energy Family Golf Classic for the past 28 years and trying to help youth development though sponsorships in most minor sports.
